My son survived his traumatic gun violence experience that took place on May 18, 2019. My son was coming out of Sam’s Mart, a store in the neighborhood plaza in Oakland Mills, Columbia, Maryland. My son was shot in the leg by a foolish person arguing with another person outside the store. The lack of control and impulse from this coward of a person caused heartache and pain.
This individual caused my son to undergo four surgical procedures, three blood transfusions, two hospitalizations due to internal bleeding of his femoral artery and developed compartment syndrome.
Jesus is all I could call on as I heard one of my sons calling, screaming on the other end of the phone. I had to call 911 to find my son the day he was shot.
People need to really STOP making horrible decisions when they are upset. Shooting into crowds tears apart innocent families. See, people think about hurting others but fail to realize the true damage they cause to the family. Yes, the police caught the fool that pulled the trigger of the gun that harmed my son. He had no remorse. His actions hurt.
