My son Adrian was just 20 years old when he was taken from us by senseless gun violence. On September 26, 2020, he was walking down the street with a friend who was supposed to be having a one-on-one fistfight with another person. As they walked down the street, two people exited a vehicle and started shooting at them. My son was hit. He was rushed to the hospital, where he spent five weeks in a medically induced coma, fighting for his life, with machines breathing for him and having to go through multiple surgeries. We sat at his bedside, hoping and praying for him to return to us. Unfortunately on October 28, 2020, our hearts were ripped out of our chest, as we had to say our goodbyes. Our family, which includes his younger brother, have never been the same. All because two COWARDS chose to bring guns to a fistfight.
