My son Andrew Kelley was born March 14, 1994 , and was murdered on May 24, 2020, near Nelson Park Apartments in Columbus. My son was involved in an altercation, and there were 20 to 30 witnesses, and no one has came forward in regards to my son being murdered by gun violence. My son Andrew leaves behind a daughter that was five weeks old when he was murdered on May 24, 2020. He was so happy to be a father. He also was an older brother of 10 siblings. He was very loving, caring, and very close to all his family members. Andrew would give you the shirt off his back to make sure you had, even if he didn’t. I miss my son so much.
He is my second son that I have lost to gun violence in Columbus.
I also lost a 15-year-old son in 2011, Andrake Kelley, from a fight between teenagers at a family outing at a Columbus mall on February 12, 2011. I was present inside the mall while my sons were outside with friends; my son was shot in the head and hospitalized and died four days later. Our family has been traumatized by these events with no justice!
