I was a witness to the Kyle Rittenhouse shooting. I watched a man die after he was shot by a teenager. I tried to provide him with medical aid, but it was too late. I spoke with the girlfriend of another victim immediately after the shooting. She was distraught and in tears; she lost her loved one forever. I will remember the sound of gunshots and the utter violence that occurred that night forever. I have trouble sleeping and eating, even though this event occurred over a year ago. I think about it every day. We need to end gun violence; there is no reason for it.
