When I was 18 or so, about 12 years ago, I was in an online relationship with a man who claimed to have, at the time, multiple personality disorder. He was an emotionally and mentally abusive partner, and several times on a video call he would threaten to commit suicide, knowing that my grandfather had done so when I was younger. He would show himself putting a gun to his head and then stopping the video feed while I would be crying. He would do this for any little thing. When I finally broke up with him, he threatened to kill me and anyone else I was with. I was later stationed in the same state this man resided in, and I was terrified that he would have found out and found a way to get to me.

Reacting shows support for gun violence survivors.
