I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that is taking a stand for gun control. My story didn’t end up with us losing the life of our loved one. He is a victim and a survivor of gun violence. But the impact and damage he sustained changed him and our family members.
I had to pray for the people who did this and say to God, “I love them and forgive them,” because I didn’t want the bitterness to take control of my family. I had to be the strong one and show the courage for our family members to say that we will not live in fear. We have to keep standing and speaking for our loved ones until something changes. We can’t let this be our future.
