Brenda Johnson-mother who lost a beloved son

In honor of Ernesto William Perry Crespo

October 12, 2018, changed my life forever, and the lives of surviving brothers, sisters, aunts uncles but most importantly, he left behind his three small children!! Our lives have been changed so drastically.

My son and his family were going to eat and to my grandson’s boxing practice. As they were heading home, they came in contact with a man who had NO will to live any longer. In a act of horrific road rage, my son was gunned down.

He pulled over, and his wife begged him not to get out of the car, but my son was a strong man and wanted to know why this person was harassing them. My son Ernie asked why he was following, saying he had his children and wife in the car. This did not matter. This man opened fire and shot my son 13 times. So much has been lost, so many questions unanswered. The man left my son and fled like a coward. The police found him less then two days later, but he committed suicide before police could arrest him. I am half a person.

Ernie was the oldest, the brother that was looked up to, funny, loved… Why my son?
