My beloved sister, Trina Hannah, took her life on July 11, 2001, using a handgun she purchased two days after signing herself out of the hospital, where she was admitted with active suicidal intent. A red flag law might have prevented her from obtaining a firearm long enough for her family members to intervene and assist her. I still miss her every day. She was a talented artist and award-winning musician, and my most generous supporter and encourager. There is no one in my life who does for me what she did. Love you, Sis.
