In memory of Le'Andrew Matthew Vaughn "Dash"

Le’Andrew was a 17-year-old aspiring baseball player/engineer whose life was taken, along with his cousin Adarius Barber, a 16-year-old aspiring football player, after an evening of shoe shopping, while taking a friend home, on August 6, 2017.

Le’Andrew was entering his senior year in high school, which was set to start the following Monday. He had also signed a letter of intent with Wichita State University, where he was set to enter their engineering program after graduation.

These two young men did not live a “high-risk” lifestyle; unless you consider XBox, sports, school, community service and family high-risk. They were great students (even better athletes), sons, brothers, uncles, cousins, nephews, grandsons and friends whose lives were taken way too soon due to senseless gun violence. They were inspirational, spiritual, decent human beings with smiles that could light up a room, and an essence that could not be denied. Their dreams were big.

Reacting shows support for gun violence survivors.
