I would like to think that my story will help someone think twice before shooting anyone without a cause. It has been 50 years since I became a victim at a high school. The first at an inner-city school. I still suffer from post-traumatic syndrome.
The man shot me at school, thinking I was a witness to his madness. He was attempting to rape a teacher, and I came in. The bullet hit me in my shoulder and exited out my back, much too close to my spine. The emotional trauma greatly affects me to this day. I recently lost my husband to leukemia, and my anxiety has come back. Please think first before using your guns, and please practice safety measures with your right to carry.
