My father was killed when I was two years old. I knew the details of his murder before I learned how to read. I grew up in areas where having a gun was normal, and if you didn’t have one, you felt naked and defenseless.
I grew up near guns and gun offenders, so it was always easy to get a gun. I started committing crimes with guns. Ultimately I served time on two separate occasions, and both times I used guns.
I advocate strongly against gun violence. I’ve founded a nonprofit organization, and we will continue to protest and advocate against gun violence.
