Thirteen months, one week and three days ago we lost our 36-year-old daughter and 11-year-old granddaughter by the hands of a murderer with a handgun. Their untimely deaths were both brutal and senseless. A recently released felon somehow got possession of a firearm and shot our children multiple times, which included shots in the back of our fleeing grandchild. Our children were decent, ideal citizens and well-liked. Out of kindness, our daughter extended her home to the offender’s homeless family. His stay was not desired or even legal due to previous convictions. Unfortunately, her generosity and tenderheartedness led to her and her daughter’s demise. But that is what she was all about, helping others. Our first-born daughter and grand-daughter now in eternity…
