On February 25, 2004, my son, Danny Watson Jr., bought his first home for him and his childhood sweetheart, Dawn Thornton, and their boys. They had known each other for 20 years.They had one son together.
On April 25, 2004, three lowlife spawns of Satan kicked in their back door and shot Dawn two times in the head, pistol beat my son’s face and shot him three times, once execution style. They had the wrong people – looking for someone prior to my son buying the house. He had no idea it was a drug house.
Our hearts, souls and lives have forever changed. It’s been 19 years, but there will never ever be a normal to our lives. Deeply love you both so much and miss you sorely. I work with the prosecutor’s office on certain projects, especially during Crime Victims week, and through the city have gotten a Memorial Garden with a beautiful angel for all to go visit who have been deeply hurt by violent crime.
