My son Greg was taken from us on February 3, 2020. He was 36 years old. Greg has a son, Carmine, who celebrated his 13th birthday last year without his father.
Greg had his issues with drug addiction, but he was non-violent and very selfless. He would help others, even when he had nothing himself. At his memorial service, people told stories of Greg giving them the shirt off his back and helping people move whom he did not even know. One young lady told me she had met Greg in 2019, when she was moving. Greg was walking down the street, and he stopped and asked if she needed any help. When she said yes, he helped her move and made a new friend.
I miss my son everyday, and I am still learning to cope.
