My daughter was murdered by her children’s father on June 18, 2021, while driving him to work. She was in the driver’s seat and he was the passenger. He shot her at close range, twice in the head, causing the car to wreck. He got out of the car and left the crime scene. When he was being approached by law enforcement, he shot himself in the head and died shortly thereafter. They left behind four children; 3, 4, 4, and 10 years old. The kids were at home by themselves when law enforcement arrived. Both family’s lives have been shattered by this senseless gun violence. Children left without their parents and everyone wrestling with “Why?”
