My brother was taken too soon in a senseless act of gun violence three years ago. He was 22 years old. He was shot in the back as he was trying to drive away. His killer never was caught. In an epidemic of overwhelming gun violence in this country, his case is not the only one unsolved. Not a priority to law enforcement. Buried with hundreds just like his. My parents survive for him. I survive for him. He survives in our memories for us. We will never recover, but we will survive for him.
