Jeannine Ruggeiro

I was shot at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017. Concerts, and country concerts in particular, were one of my favorite pastimes. Prior to the shooting, I went to about one concert a month on average. I loved the energy of the crowd, the artist singing their lyrics, dancing, having fun. While I have worked up to going to another concert since the shooting, the experience isn’t the same. I have a guard up and anxiety that I didn’t have before while being in a venue or in a large crowd, or around tall buildings. I’ve lost my sense of security.
