My loving nephew Marcelis William Gude’s life was taken on June 15, 2021, due to gun violence, while standing on a street corner in South LA.
Marcelis was 22 years young. He was a loving, caring, funny — just full of life. This tragedy has changed my life, my family’s life and especially his mother’s life forever. You hear about gun violence and you feel for those families, and when it hits home it’s devastating.
Please — we need to get these guns off the street and definitely out of hands of those who have nothing but evil intentions. My nephew will forever brings tears to my eyes, and, at the same time joy and love to my heart, to have had him for those short 22 years.
