Kierrea’s Mom

In memory of KIERREA Stone-Gonzalez

This is my story of my daughter Kierrea. Kierrea was shot in the head and left for dead. Having a mother’s feeling — I hadn’t heard from Kierrea for a few days — I called her aunts and no one had heard from her. Her phone was going straight to voicemail. I told her sister Tuesday night that if I didn’t hear from her by Wednesday morning, I was going to check on her. Wednesday morning, hadn’t heard anything from her, I go to her apartment, and a mother’s worst nightmare happened: She had been shot, and her 2-year-old daughter was left in the apartment with her dead mother from Saturday until I got there Wednesday. The person who killed my daughter was a felon and should never have been able to access a gun. I truly believe if there were stricter laws making these people accountable, some of the killings would stop. Stop giving these people a slap on the wrist and start punishing them for their crimes and actions. Now I’m without my 23-year-old daughter, and my two-year old granddaughter is without her mom.
