In memory of Lynda Hallums

My sister and I were both victims of domestic violence. As close as we were, we never shared our stories with one another. On July 18, 1993, my sister was brutally murdered by her husband. Her skull was crushed with a metal pipe; she was stabbed 30-plus times in the upper torso and she was shot in the head four times, at close range. My sister was the mother of two daughters; sadly, they never got a chance to know their mother. A part of me died along with my sister. My life will never be the same. I live each day to keep her legacy alive.
