A day after my 40th birthday, my son Marcus Buckley and his cousin lil Freddy were murdered while sitting in the car in the driveway at lil Freddy’s house. Someone shot the car up that they were sitting in. Lil Freddy died instantly. Marcus lived a few minutes and died. I feel some type of way because I was not there to protect him. I miss him so much. It’s the craziest thing ever to lose a child. My heart goes out to anyone that has lost a child. My life changed so quickly. Earlier that day he surprised me with a gift card — he slid it under my dressing room door. We were at the house, joking about the outfits we both bought. My life has not been the same. I try so hard to stay positive to survive the loss of Marcus, because I know he wants me to be happy and not let what happened to me defeat me.
