My daughter Ellen Bauer was murdered on March 15, 1998. Her friend Kris was leaving her husband due to complex domestic safety concerns. They arranged to go to Kris’s home to pack her belongings, and the husband agreed not to be there. They were concerned but let everyone know. Kris’s husband came to the home and killed them both, as well killing himself.
He shot Kris five times and Ellen three times.
We will never be the same.
Ellen was a wonderful 28-year-old woman, just starting to find her way. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, auntie, niece, granddaughter and friend. We have a memory garden for her at Plymouth Congregational Church. I do not want anyone to forget her. She would have done great things in her life.
