This May will mark 27 years since my brother took his own life at the age of 11 with a gun. He was bullied in elementary school for his weight and learning disabilities. He had been taught how to load and use a gun in gun safety with Boy Scouts. Guns were not locked up in our home, either. Unfortunately we had every means to end his pain and suffering. I wish I knew he was suffering. I wish we had better knowledge of gun safety as a family. I wish that no one, ever, has to be a gun survivor or victim.
