I was at work when the first Columbine shooting happened. My daughter was in Littleton Middle School. She called me at work, crying; her school was in lockdown, and she needed to be picked up by a parent. The fear she experienced and the panic I felt were intense. I left work immediately and raced to pick her up. And the beginning of school shootings was real.
