My mom, Lisa L. Foreman, was found murdered in her friend’s home alongside him and his son on September 5, 2016. The neighbors refuse to give any information to the police despite their having to know something because the houses are too close. No one has been arrested for her murder, and it affects my life everyday. I’ve been told she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was such a sweet, loving person, who lit up a room with her smile and personality. I have started a nonprofit organization in her honor, The Lisa Foreman Foundation, to help others affected by gun violence. I will spend the rest of my life promoting gun violence awareness.
