Every joyous occasion or event is clouded by the fact that my daughter Nicole is not there to share it with us. When her childhood friends get married or have children, it is extremely difficult to share in our friends’ joy, because it just amplifies the fact that our daughter is gone. There is an emptiness that is forever present in our hearts.
