In memory of Darren Anthony Gray

On the day before Mother’s Day, May 8, 2010, at Lafayette Zoo in Norfolk, Virginia. My 24-year-old son was helping with this child’s birthday party when 20 people surrounded him and beat and stump him like a rag doll. He tried to get up, then two people shot him nine times all over his body. If that wasn’t enough, they kneeled over him and hit him in the face with a Grey Goose bottle and left the neck in his eyes. This is the same zoo I took him and his siblings to when they were babies too. He also used to take his son. He died on the scene at 5:15 p.m. in front of all these families on the day before Mother’s Day…
