Satedra

Here’s my story …

I’m Satedra Smith of Jordan’s Light Foundation, Chattanooga.
I was shot accidentally by a 17-year-old boy as I walked down the stairs of my front porch — with my daughter walking behind me at the age of 2.

As I have lived through, it’s always been a struggle, battling PTSD, weakened muscles and surgery!

Although this happened to me 24 years ago, just eight years ago my son was murdered in the city of Chattanooga due to community gun violence.

So our lives have been flipped upside down three times over.

Reacting shows support for gun violence survivors.
