On November 3, 2001, a young, innocent life was taken. At the age of 12, Jeremy was full of life, ambition and joy. Family members and friends remember him as being full of excitement, laughter and love. I am his younger half-brother, Spencer; I was born one day previous to my oldest brother’s passing. I am struck each and every day knowing that the innocent life of someone whom I never got to know was taken. A life that was so full and gifted with a right future. Jeremy is the driving force behind my will and ambition to combat gun violence. Because of him, I am a survivor… We must push on and forward in memory of those whom we have lost due to gun violence.
