In memory of William Barnes

My brother-in-law and childhood friend Bill was murdered while he was sleeping, his wife was raped, and their two infant children were taken hostage to allow for the escape of Bill’s killer, who was caught attempting to flee to Mexico.

The killer was tried, and convicted, and is serving in time in a California prison, where he petitions for parole despite his repeated violent crimes he has been charged with while incarcerated.

William’s murder brought untold grief, suffering, and lifelong hurt and sadness upon everyone. Everyone.

Reacting shows support for gun violence survivors.
