My son lost his life on September 5, 2020, to a stranger with a gun. It was only a few months after he bought his new home — a place where he should have started a new life instead of having his life ended.
Our family and so many of his friends have had to lose a shining example of a sensitive and sweet soul that spent 39 years on Earth helping and lifting others up.
The world lost an amazing person. Our lives are now devastated and beyond changed because guns are so easily accessible on the streets, and laws are too lenient for those that offend them. The number of lives affected is hundreds because Joshua meant so much to so many. He enriched the lives of so many musicians, entertainers and animal organizations with his support, kindness and promotion. His murderer took not just his life but forever changed all our lives as we continue to figure out how to live without him.
One person made a conscious decision to bring a gun to a stranger’s home. Minutes later our lives were forever changed. America has to wake up and make changes.
