Krystal Joy was my 19-year-old daughter, whose name meant that it was Krystal clear she was born to bring this world JOY! And that she accomplished until her life was taken by gun violence on July 4, 2004. Krystal and two friends were at a gas station, and their car was parked at the pump. The girls were caught in the crossfire of two guys shooting at one another. There were many bullets fired, but only one bullet went through Krystal’s body and stopped in the heart of her girlfriend Terrin. Both girls died from one bullet. Rest In Peace, my sweet young ladies. I am breathing in your honor to make a difference. I vow to continue to fight against gun violence, therefore neither your life nor death will be in vain.
