My daughter was killed in a home invasion on April 2, 2002. Her name is Tonette Shavon Waters; she was the mother of two small kids, ages 2 and 6, who were present at the time. She was a beautiful, sweet person, loved by so many.
Due to her death, so many felt the sadness and still do to this day. Four people were charged and convicted due to people standing up and helping to turn them in. They are serving time to this day. We received the closure of someone being held responsible and accountable for her death in about three days, which has helped us to heal in so many ways.
Praying for all those affected by gun violence and praying that they receive the closure they need also.
